Self-care / Diet and nutrition / Recommended foods / Should be avoided / Purine -rich foods

Avoid purine -rich foods and stick to a low- purine diet.

Eat only solid ingredients in soups because purine in food moves to the soup broth during boiling, concentrating purine in the broth.

Eat less meat (less than 80 grams of meat per day).
Do not overeat, even low purine foods.

For unknown reasons, coffee may lower blood uric acid levels.

Dark-colored fruits like strawberry, blueberry, cherry, and grape are known to decrease blood uric acid levels.
Black beans are also known to reduce blood uric acid levels.
